ABOUT US

RIVERGUMS is a well-appointed 180 acre property overlooking the
beautiful Clarence River, situated in Maclean, Northern NSW, Australia.
We have been breeding purebred Angus cattle here for many years.

As the cattle herd increased we decided to get some Australian Stock Horses
to assist with the station work, and immediately fell in love with the breed.

We were amazed at these horses calm, gentle temperament, and their
instinctive 'cowsense'. They are easy to care for, strong, smart, no-fuss
horses, and they get the job done.

Being so impressed we decided to breed the ASH, with the constant aim
being to produce smart working horses with a fabulous temperament that
suit any discipline.

With this in mind, we purchased CALEDONIA CATTYLYST, a beautiful bay
ASH stallion with a temperament to die for! 'CC' can be handled and ridden
by anyone, and is an absolute pleasure to own. His progeny are all stamped

As youngsters, our Stock Horses grow strong and agile on the large open
riverfront paddocks and bush covered hills of RIVERGUMS. They are
well handled from birth and are always well behaved for the farrier or vet.

We lightly show our horses, but they are bred to work, and that's what they do
here at RIVERGUMS ! At certain times we offer some mares or youngstock for
sale, so look at our FOR SALE page and check back here occasionally.
